Yikes! When times are hard, times are hard, and it looks like that time has come for Soulja Boy.
The “Crank That” rapper has turned to tricking tweets as a way to make money, since apparently music isn’t paying him the way they used to. According to Hip Hop Wired, Soulja Boy will follow you for $1.99 and shout you out for $2.99. But wait there’s more! You can get a verse from him for $10,000.
Sounds like a deal and a steal to me!
I don’t know how to quite put this, but… if no one is checking for your music like that, no one will be willing to pay you for your tweets! The only time I want to see Soulja Boy on my screen (TV, LCD, whatever) is when we are making fun of his foolish antics, and even that can be too much! Remember his dirty nails?
When does the time come for rappers, or any artist, who is not in the limelight to go out and get a real job if what they used to do is no longer lucrative? There has to be another way.
