Williams was talking about Beyonce’s upcoming HBO documentary, which Queen Bey wrote and directed herself. She prefaced by saying that she is a Beyonce fan, but she has to listen to the superstar with captions on her screen. Her audience grumbled and such but, really, was what she said that far fetched?
Watch the Wendy clip here.
So here’s what…
Maybe saying she sounds like she has a fifth-grade education was insulting (I will give her eighth grade). I will have to agree there, however, when Beyonce’s interviews can be downright painful to see her try and formulate ideas! I don’t get it, I really don’t. As polished and as groomed her parents positioned her to be, it was like they forgot a step. She is an amazing performer when she is on stage. Even though she has retired her “Sasha Fierce” alter ego, there is no denying Sasha made Beyonce enjoyable to watch. You see her on the red carpets and she is just so polished and flawless, it’s hard to find anything wrong.
But when Mrs. Knowles-Carter starts to talk, it’s like nails on a chalkboard. Please, just ask Beyonce the same things she talks about. You know, Popeye’s chicken, working in her mom’s Houston salon and performing for the customers when she was a child, how she can make funny face, that her name comes from her mom’s maiden name (blah, blah, blah)… you know, that kind of stuff. Don’t ask her about politics or current events. Those are strictly off limits because you might get something like this:
So what do you think? Do you think the statement is far-fetched?
