In the midst of scandalous Twitter confrontation with the least popular Kardashian (for playing her, he will forever remain nameless), Rita Ora fashioned our linoleum hallway into her own personal runway, strutting with confidence, her Elton John-inspired sunglasses perched on her face, Louboutin boots click-clacking, she stopped directly in front of me and opened her arms for a hug.

“Hi! I’m Rita,” her delightful English accent warmed me instantly. Of course I knew that, but I hugged her tight and introduced myself. Rita is everything I wanted her to be in my head. She’s personal in such an intimate way, it’s almost intimidating. She’s fun–she hula hooped like a true pro (word to Sommore). And she’s endearing, even when she’s blaming her farts on other people (that part of the interview is coming soon)!

The Kosovo-born, London-raised star is riding the wave of her debut album, Ora, which is killing in Europe. However, it’s the U.S. market she’s after now and with endorsements from the hottest couple in the game, Jay-Z and Beyonce, Rita Ora’s set to take over in 2013.
