It was not murder, trauma or foul play that caused the untimely death of Whitney Houston. According to the Los Angeles Coroner’s office, it was drowning. Cocaine was found in her system, and according to CNN, Whitney Houston had heart disease.

In addition to cocaine, marijuana and prescription drugs were found in her system. These drugs did not kill Whitney Houston, however, heart disease and cocaine are directly related to her drowning.
